Even the best-planned packing...
Guess I wasn't checking my packing list as closely as I thought, when I packed for this latest weekend to the beach: I ended up with two skirts and now pajamas. But if church had happened twice, I would have been prepared! Note to self: pay more attention to the packing list next time, and check things off.
Even worse, when my husband and I cleared out of our beach house, we were thoughtful enough to wash counters and take out garbage, but not to check all the rooms (he thought he had, I thought he had, I was going to but then I started washing counters.) I left behind my laptop and new swimsuit! Note to self: keep laptop with husband's computer (he never forgets his), and CHECK THE ROOMS next time I leave somewhere!

I also just received my author's copies of the latest Odyssey magazine, with my article on "Finding Hidden Sugar." The cartoony illustrations look great, and there were lots of other great articles about GMOs, the meaning of organic, and secrets of school lunches.
I'm lining up visits to schools and libraries for spring and summer of 2014. Check my website for event listings soon--I may be coming to a library near you!
